Alicja Nowak

Alicja joined Silesia Capital Advisors in 2018. Previously, she worked for 6 years in the controlling department of a large stamping plant near Gliwice. At our firm, she deals with hard data and doesn't look for magic in Excel sheets. Only facts that can be confirmed with a bank statement or an invoice matter to her. Last year, she personally analyzed the finances of 14 production plants before they were put up for sale.

Her work involves catching details that others miss. Alicja can notice that a hall consumes 12% too much energy, which at current rates drastically lowers the final valuation. Such hard data from the floor allows us to negotiate from a position of strength. We don't promise pie in the sky, we only show buyers the real profit generated by a given machine or assembly line.

Facts on the table, not adjectives

Alicja doesn't write reports that have 100 pages and result in nothing. She puts specific numbers on the table. If I see that the machinery park is overestimated by 83 thousand PLN, Alicja says it to the owner's face. Thanks to this, our clients know where they stand even before entering the sales process. Honestly, she can be painfully scrupulous at times, which sometimes extends the audit by 2-3 days, but saves a lot of stress during the contract signing.

In 2023, Alicja helped value a small toolroom in Chorzów. The owner thought the company was worth less because he didn't take into account the value of specific service contracts concluded for 4 years ahead. After her analysis and including these contracts in the financial model, we managed to raise the transaction price by 147 thousand PLN. The buyer accepted this amount because he received a clear list of profitability of each order from us.

My daily tasks:

• I scrutinize balance sheets and profit and loss accounts from the last 48 months.
• I verify the real market value of CNC machines and specialist equipment.
• I prepare documentation for due diligence for investment funds.
• I check where money is leaking in internal logistics processes.
